Along with the 50th Anniversary celebrations, we are also running a fund-raising campaign to raise money towards a much needed replacement roof which is essential for the sustainability of the building. We are hoping to replicate the success of the “Buy A Brick” fundraiser which helped build the hall 50 years ago so we have launched the “Buy A Tile” campaign so that individuals, groups and businesses can own a piece of the hall’s history and contribute to protecting this community asset for years to come.

There are 7500 tiles on the roof to be replaced so we will run this campaign throughout 2026 as well as applying for funds from grant providers to cover the cost. Tiles cost £10 each to buy and donors will have their names, group name or business name added to our virtual roof which will be displayed at the hall as a “Roof of Honour” to show our appreciation. Any contributions towards this campaign will be gratefully received and will be an important part of our mission to retain the village hall for generations to come.

To “Buy A Tile” (£10 each) you can pay by bank transfer by emailing us for the details, via PayPal which you will find a button for on each page of our website.

Please send an email to info@wilsdenvillagehall.co.uk with your names, group name or business that so we can allocate your tile(s) on the “Roof of Honour” displayed at the hall.

Alternatively, you can pay by cash or cheque at the hall office which is open on Mondays 9am-1pm, Tuesdays 9am-3pm, (closed Wednesdays), Thursdays 9am-3pm and Fridays 9am-12pm.
